Plan a Visit

  • What to Expect

First Methodist Church believes that all people are loved by God and invited into relationship with Him.  On Sundays you can expect to worship with people from all walks of life and of all ages.  We have a place for everyone from birth to seniors to connect by attending our 8:30a or 10:30a worship services and a Sunday School class from 9:30a – 10:15a.  On Wednesdays we have MIDWEEK – another opportunity for smaller groups, bible studies and an afternoon devotional.  We hope you’ll worship with us this week!

  • What do you offer for my family?

First Methodist Church offers opportunities to engage and connect for people of all ages.  We have an awesome children’s ministry, First Methodist Kids, that meet for age-appropriate Sunday School lessons at 9:30, Junior Church, and Midweek activities.  Nursery is available for newborns up to age 2 and classes for Pre-K up to 5th grade.  Located in Building 1 on the corner of Flint and Jefferson.

Thrive Student Ministry is the youth department at First Methodist Church.  Designed for 6th grade- 12th grade students, we meet every Sunday morning for Sunday School at 9:30am in the Youth Center and every Sunday afternoon from 4-6pm with opportunities for youth choir, music and tech training, small groups, and Thrive Worship Services.  We also have a small group Bible Study that meets Midweek at 6pm.

We have many other opportunities for adults during the week and on weekends!  From choir and worship team to Sunday School and Bible Study offerings on Monday evenings, Tuesday mornings, and Wednesday evenings, there’s always a place you can connect.  Missions opportunities are available as well.  Connect with one of our staff members or ministers to find out more!

  • Where do I park?

Flint Avenue is full of parking spaces on the street, but we do have several reserved spaces for visitors & handicap parking located directly in front of the entrance to the sanctuary. If those are full (and we hope they are!), you can park directly across Flint Avenue in the parking lot located between The Wilson House and St. Pauls’ Episcopal Youth building. We also have parking in our preschool/gym lot on the Jefferson Street side of the property, as well as a large lot located behind the church- you can access this via the alley or enter from Roosevelt.
